Explore our journey "The magic of healing," a unique Nile cruise in Egypt. Not a large-scale cruise, but an authentic trip on the Dahabiya sailboat.
Next trip: 22 to 30 March 2024: The magic of healing
A week of being carried together by the waters of the Nile....
I like to call this trip 'the magic of healing', because this is what happens when we very naturally take the path inward.
Nature, the water, the sun, the fields, are our setting for a few days. We can let the ancient temples and power places affect us deeply.
The tempo of the boat is a relief for our cells, for our hearts. We feel safe to open ourselves on a deeper level.
The energies that carry us here help us to clear out what we no longer need and to focus on the new. 'The magic of healing can start' in a group of like-minded people.
This spiritual journey focuses on re-energizing, personal well-being and healing, but will also include a visit to the souk, a local coffee shop or a bike ride to the Valley of the Kings! Let your wings free!
What can you expect?
- With a sailboat on the Nile
We arrive in Luxor and we first overnight in a hotel or villa. After a few days in Luxor, we embark on a "dahabiya" sailboat, in which we stay only with our own group. A friendly crew and delicious Egyptian food, make this place a real home away from home.
- Visiting ancient temples
In Luxor, we visit the temples of Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, the Memnon statues and some lesser-known sites. The choice of the visits in Luxor depends on the needs of the group.
On the way, we visit a small temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Afterwards, we sail to the beautiful temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus. Then to the temple and tombs of El Selssila. Afterwards to Kom Ombo temple, the temple dedicated to both Sobek, the crocodile god and Horus. Arriving in Aswan, we visit the Philae temple.
All these temples are places of power and initiation. They speak deeply to us. Visiting the temples is always experienced as re-energizing and inspiring.
- Egyptological explanations
In all places, there are Egyptological explanations in English brought with passion by Younes Azzam our Egyptian guide. There is a nice balance between Egyptological explanations and experiencing the place quietly.
- Optional: a daytrip to Abu Simbel
On the last day, there is, for those who want it, a day trip to Abu Simbel. Did you know that in addition to this famous temple, there is also a temple to Nefertari, the royal wife of Ramses II?
- Meditation and yoga
On the boat, you relax naturally. We take our time to really become a group. Regularly we come together and there is space to share what is going on inside of us. What processes are we going through? How are we experiencing the force fields of ancient Egypt? At other times we take time to meditate. These meditations are accompanied by Pansori sounds sung by Veerle. For enthusiasts, we start the day with yoga. All these magical moments and the spaces in between, are leading us to a natural way of healing.
This is why we named this trip: 'The magic of healing'.
