For those who only have a few days, Luxor is the perfect destination. You can see a lot in little time.
Since everything is close by, you need little transportation and travel 'low budget'!
This trip day by day:
Day 1: Arrival at Luxor airport. Meet your private tourguide and transfer to your hotel. Depending on what time you arrive, you can go out in the evening to admire the sound and light show at Karnak.
Day 2: Visit the Eastbank of Luxor with the magnificent temples of Karnak and Luxor. The temple complex of Karnak is really impressive and many kings built on it.
Day 3: Spend a day on the west bank of the Nile and take a trip back in time. You will visit the world-famous Valley of the Kings, the majestic temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memmnon.
Day 4: Start the day early and enjoy the sunrise from a hot air balloon. Breathtaking to see the Temple of Hatchepsut and Luxor city from the sky. After your early morning experience, have breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will visit the best preserved temple of Habu and the tombs of the nobles. After lunch take some time to recharge at the hotel. If you had not yet gone to see the sound and light show, you can do so this evening as well.
Day 5: Trip to Dendera.
A good two hours north of Luxor you will find the temple of Dendera in honor of the goddess Hathor, the goddess of motherhood, joy, music and love. The Greeks identified goddess Hathor as Aphrodite. The temple is one of the last discovered temples and will impress you with its beautiful blue coloring. You will also find a special cealing with the zodiac. Back in Luxor you can have a late lunch and in the afternoon you can let all the impressions sink in at the pool of your hotel.
Day 6: Transfer to Luxor airport.
